CAMPAIGNING FOR ADULTS WITH ADHD
The future depends on what we do today...
Parliament will debate the assessment of ASD and ADHD and the need to increase funding for these assessments. The debate is on the 6th Feb at 4.30 in Westminster Hall.
This is could be a significant step forward for us all.
It could be a real opportunity for the discriminatory medical neglect of people with ADHD in the UK...
Though this debate could be a source of hope, we must remember that if the debate is poorly attended by MPs and has little attention from the media, it could push any real change ever further into the distance.
We must play our part to try make change to happen
Though this debate could be a source of hope, we must remember that if the debate is poorly attended by MPs and has little attention from the media, it could push any real change ever further into the distance.
To maximise any potential impact we need to email our individual constituency MP asking each of them, as our Parliamentary representative, to:

1. Attend the debate

2. Be as informed as possible about the issue

3. Support the change that is so desperately needed for so many people and will cost less to society than continued inaction.
When you reach the linked page, enter YOUR OWN postcode when prompted.

The resulting page will show you your MP.
Scroll to his Parliamentary Email address.
Highlight and copy to clipboard.

(You may wish to email both his Parliamentary and Constituency email addresses - that is up to you).
Open your email app
Compose a new email
Paste the email address from your clipboard
Step 2:
When downloaded, open the text file and select all.
Then copy and paste the text.
YOU MUST ADDRESS IT TO YOUR SPECIFIC MP.

AND YOU MUST INCLUDE YOUR FULL NAME AND FULL ADDRESS IN THE GAPS PROVIDED
Without this, the email can go ignored and unanswered as their responsibility is to respond to constituency members. Therefore name and address is vital.
PLEASE NOTE:
YOU MUST INCLUDE THE MP's NAME and YOUR FULL NAME AND YOUR FULL ADDRESS.
We encourage you to personalise, edit, remove or reorder sections - and feel free to include your own experiences or those of loved ones if relevant. The more individual the mails are, the better.
We are happy to collate each MP that has been contacted, and each reply that confirms either attendance or support.

The debate is streamed live on Youtube, and we will hopefully embed footage, if not at least post the link on the day.
And we will try to cross-reference the MP attendance, and publish our findings here once it is all collated.
